POSITION TITLE: Senior Director, Product

We are seeking a self-driven, collaborative and innovative Senior Director, Product to be a leader in the continued development and expansion of our incredible products, including a new initiative to launch a subscription service. This role will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Sr. Director, Product you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead Product Development for Owlet
    • Shape and execute on our product vision and strategy, collaborating closely with executives, engineering, design, quality, program management, sales, and marketing
    • Directing the efforts of product managers to document, and communicate new product development and product improvement projects with accompanying concepts, use cases, requirements, and project plans
    • Identify cross functional risks, issues, and problems and escalate as appropriate, proposing mitigation plans to overcome obstacles
  • Launch and Scale a Subscription Software Services Program
    • Define and drive the subscription services strategy and vision
    • Set and own the KPIs for subscription services including financial impact
    • Be the subject matter expert on subscription services
    • Pursue product and industry knowledge, identify trends and opportunities
    • Monitor product and business performance of the subscription program and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  • Demonstrate passion and empathy for the customer, capture their voice and use it to shape the product experience and strategy
    • Start with the customer and work backwards
    • Be the subject matter expert on customer issues, pains, desires, how they think and behave
    • Understand and use qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions
  • Own product deliverables
    • Gather and prioritize product features and clear and concise requirements
    • Be a product expert: how it works, critical components, how users really use it
    • Identify new opportunities and test their potential, measuring and reporting results
    • Understand how the business works, and what role the product plays

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management at a technology company for a consumer-facing product, ideally in healthtech with hardware or IoT products
  • 3+ years experience hiring, mentoring, and leading a team of product managers and a track record as an amazing manager
  • Experience launching and growing a subscription based product for hardware or IoT devices
  • Strong executive level communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and lead others through influence
