We’re seeking an enthusiastic Financial Analyst, Sales Operations to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team, playing a pivotal role in Owlet’s strategic growth initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of FP&A, you’ll contribute to shaping our financial future.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Partner
    • Partner with Sales, Operations, Marketing and Finance teams to understand their needs and challenges and find solutions.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and achieve common goals
    • Work directly with budget owners to set and periodically revise their operating expense spending and hiring plans
  • Lead monthly operating cadence
    • Lead monthly operating cadence meetings, driving focused discussions and action plans
    • Manage meeting agendas, ensure timely communication, and track progress on key initiatives
  • Sales Forecast Accuracy
    • Connect sales forecasts with real-time sell-through data, channel inventory levels, and market data
    • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for improved sales and operational alignment
  • Process Automation Champion
    • Support data automation solutions for sales forecasting and inventory planning
    • Streamline processes for improved efficiency and reduced manual workload
  • Demand Planning & Inventory Management
    • Identify trends and fluctuations in demand forecasts through weekly/monthly reviews
    • Develop a collaborative 3/6/9/12-month demand planning process with Operations
  • Promotional Funding Optimization
    • Analyze past promotions for ROI and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Recommend future promotional strategies with data-driven insights on ROI and optionality
    • Oversee the promotional approval process, ensuring forecast accuracy and executive sign-off
  • Accrual Oversight & Pricing
    • Implement a process to ensure accurate and timely deductions by retailers and proper accruals at month-end
    • Automate the accrual oversight process
    • Review pricing strategies to maximize profitability and channel terms with retailers
    • Ensure accurate pricing is reflected in the system to avoid errors with retailers
  • Market Intelligence & Marketing Spend Review
    • Analyze market data to gain insights into competitor activity and macro trends
    • Translate market trends into actionable recommendations for informed decision-making
    • Evaluate marketing spend and ROI to optimize resource allocation
    • Facilitate communication between Marketing and leadership for strategic marketing approval
  • Data visualization
    • Present complex data in a concise, easy-to-understand, and actionable manner through effective data visualization techniques
    • Utilize data visualization tools to create compelling dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders across departments
  • Financial modeling and analysis
    • Conducts ad-hoc analysis to support the business case for new product offerings, cost saving opportunities, and other projects/investments as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required)
  • 4+ years of experience in a sales operations, business analytics, FP&A or similar role
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and Netsuite is a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
